Ropes & Gray Represents Vision Ridge Partners and Havila Holding in the Sale of Fjord1

Ropes & Gray advised Vision Ridge Partners and Havila Holding in a tentative agreement to sell Fjord1 to DIF Capital Partners and EDF Invest. Fjord1 is Norway’s largest ferry operator, serving approximately 50% of all Norwegian passengers, and the nation’s leading owner and operator of electrified ferry transportation. The transaction was announced in a press release on October 31 and terms were not disclosed.

Vision Ridge is a global sustainable real assets investor, that manages approximately $3.25 billion on behalf of institutional investors globally, as of September 30, 2023. Havila Holding, an investment company owned by the Sævik family in Norway, has utilized generational know-how to establish a portfolio of companies with a main focus in the maritime sector.

The Ropes & Gray team included private equity partners Carl Marcellino, Elizabeth Todd and Gabrielle DiBernardi, capital solutions & private credit partner Samuel Norris, and private equity associate Ciara Stratford.
