Ropes & Gray represented [solidcore], a chain operator of fitness studios, in its founder’s sale to Kohlberg & Company. Financial terms were not disclosed. [Solidcore] is headquartered in Washington D.C. and operates 99 studios in 24 states. Kohlberg is a private equity firm with 35-years of experience organizing eleven private equity vehicles, through which it has raised over $13 billion of committed equity capital and generated over $10 billon in realized returns.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Dan Cowan, tax partner Alyssa Kollmeyer, and mergers & acquisitions partner Chris Comeau.
