Ropes & Gray represented Charlesbank Capital Partners LLC and its portfolio company, BOX Partners, a wholesaler of packaging, shipping, and industrial supplies, in the acquisition of The Packaging Wholesalers (“TPW”), a fellow nationwide packaging distributor. The transaction brings together two industry leaders, allowing the businesses to better serve their customers.
Based in Boston and New York, Charlesbank Capital Partners is a middle-market private investment firm that is focused on management-led buyouts and growth capital financings and also engages in opportunistic credit and technology investments. BOX Partners, headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, was acquired by Charlesbank in December 2021.
