Ropes & Gray is representing an ad hoc group of secured lenders and certain DIP lenders in connection with Maverick Gaming’s chapter 11 cases filed on July 14, 2025. Maverick Gaming is a regional gaming and entertainment company operating cardrooms and casinos across multiple states and is pursuing a sale and reorganization process through chapter 11. The ad hoc group owns or holds over 80% of the company’s term loans, and certain members have provided the company with $7.5 million in bankruptcy financing.
The Ropes & Gray team includes business restructuring partners Ryan Preston Dahl and Daniel Gwen, finance partners Leonard Klingbaum, Milap Patel, corporate partner Patrick Dorime, and associates Nell Ethridge and Margaret Alden.
