Ropes & Gray advised AlpInvest Partners, a subsidiary of global investment firm Carlyle, as lead investor in a $2.2 billion multi-asset fund recapitalization of Green Equity Investors VI and Green Equity Investors VII by Green & Partners, L.P. The closing was announced on December 21 in a press release.
The Continuation Fund was established to acquire four portfolio companies across Green Equity Investors VI and Green Equity Investors VII. The transaction provides liquidity to existing investors seeking to monetize performance to-date, while providing AlpInvest and other investors the opportunity to invest in among four market-leading businesses.
The team was led by alternative asset opportunities partners Isabel Dische and Adam Dobson, tax partners Dan Kolb and Adam Greenwood and asset management partner Jessica Marlin.
