Ropes & Gray represented Activant Capital in its investment in Platform Science, a leading-edge application platform for transportation. Platform Science raised $125 million in growth capital to accelerate innovation in the commercial transportation sector. In addition to Activant Capital, other new financial investors include BDT & MSD Partners, and Manhattan Venture Partners. The transaction was announced in an April 9.
Activant Capital, headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, is a global research-led investment firm with over $1 billion of asset under management.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Carl Marcellino and included associates Patrick Smith and Rob Cahill.
