Dentons announces today the return of Matt Nickel as a partner in its Commercial Litigation practice. Based in the Dallas office, Nickel brings vast experience in complex litigation, particularly in the areas of pharmaceutical litigation and product liability, and represents clients in individual and class action litigation in Texas and across the country.
Nickel’s practice focuses on defending product liability cases, handling suits brought by state Attorneys General, managing class actions and representing clients in pharmaceutical and medical device cases. He has extensive experience in defending cases involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, state Medicaid fraud, consumer protection and antitrust matters. Notably, he has a strong track record of successfully resolving numerous class actions stemming from various cases, including alleged defective building products and consumer class actions related to product recalls. Nickel’s experience spans federal and state courts nationwide, where he manages all aspects of litigation from pre-suit resolution through trial.

Nickel first joined Dentons in 2010. In addition to his legal experience, Nickel’s background as a sales representative for a major pharmaceutical company gives him a unique perspective and deep understanding of the medical arena, further enhancing his ability to navigate complex litigation matters in the healthcare industry.
