Clifford Chance announces today that partner David H. Sweeney has joined its new office in Houston. He joins Jonathan Bobinger, Jonathan Castelan, Trevor Lavelle, Enoch Varner and Alexandra L. Wilde as part of the seven new partners in Houston, along with Devika Kornbacher, Alex Leff and Tony Giustini who are relocating to support the expansion.
Sweeney, who joins from Akin Gump, has deep experience advising on the full natural resource value chain from exploration, production, processing and infrastructure, to monetization. He also has acted extensively for clients on mergers and acquisitions, energy finance transactions and operational matters in more than 30 countries.
Clifford Chance announced on Jun 5 the opening of its Houston office with 10 partners, including seven lateral hires, to grow its Energy & Infrastructure practice in the US. The last of the seven lateral hires will be announced in the coming weeks.
