Mayer Brown advises Travel Counsellors on acquisition of travel technology platform Planisto

London – Mayer Brown has advised Travel Counsellors, a Vitruvian portfolio company, on its acquisition of travel technology platform Planisto and associated IP assets from B2B travel technology company EURAM.

The Planisto platform will be integrated into Travel Counsellors’ technology development, enabling it to offer complex personalised travel itineraries and present these intuitively to consumers. The transaction will also see the creators behind the platform joining Travel Counsellors.

Headquartered in Manchester, Travel Counsellors operates a technology platform that allows over 2,000 home-based travel advisors to provide advice and arrange trips for leisure and business customers across the UK, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the UAE.

The Mayer Brown team was led by Private Equity partner James West and included Private Equity partner Perry Yam and associate James Beattie, and IP associate Ellen Hepworth (all London).
