Mayer Brown advises sellers in $221.2 million mineral and royalty interests sale

Mayer Brown advised Rivercrest Capital Partners, LP, Rivercrest Capital Partners II, LP and Cupola Royalty Direct, LLC in the drop down sale of certain oil and gas mineral and royalty interests to Kimbell Royalty Partners, LP in a cash and unit transaction valued at approximately $221.2 million. The portfolio spans more than three million gross acres and includes interests associated with more than 29,000 gross producing wells across premier areas of the Eagle Ford, Permian, Mid-Con and Appalachia regions.

The Mayer Brown Global Energy/M&A team was led by Jeff Dobbs and Eduardo Canales in the firm’s Houston office, with assistance from corporate associates Hudson Peavy and Cameron Holman, Michelle Jewett and Stephanie Wood for tax matters, David Bakst and Ronald Distante for securities matters, and Roger Patrick for environmental matters.
