
A Mayer Brown team advised power company Engie Brasil on its agreement to acquire five operating photovoltaic power stations in Brazil from Atlas Renewable Energy, a company owned by investment fund Global Infrastructure Partners. The deal for the solar farms totaling an installed capacity of 545 megawatts was valued around 3.24 billion reais (USD $646.04 million).
The team was led by Corporate & Securities partners Elena Rubinov, Debora Yanasse and Bruno Salzano and included Tax partners Lucas Giardelli and Guido Vinci and associate Niandra Soares and Corporate & Securities associates Michael Russo, Bruno Paccola, Bruno Ribeiro and Julia Braga in the firm’s New York and Brazil offices.
