Mayer Brown advises Blueleaf Energy on financing facility for investment in renewable energy assets across India

Singapore – Mayer Brown has advised Blueleaf Energy, pan-Asian renewable energy platform and independent power producer (IPP) owned by a Macquarie Asset Management managed fund, as borrower on a US$75 million secured financing facility from British International Investment for the purposes of funding expansion and investment in nearly 2GW of renewable energy assets across India.Ben Thompson, partner lead and head of Projects & Infrastructure (Asia), commented: “We are pleased to have assisted Blueleaf Energy on this significant financing as they continue to cement their position as one of the leading renewables players in India and regionally, and congratulate their team on this milestone.
