Linklaters has launched Applied Intelligence, a first of its kind team that brings together lawyers and data scientists to co-design and deliver bespoke AI-enabled tech and legal solutions for clients’ most complex and high-stakes challenges.
Partnering with lawyers from across the firm, Applied Intelligence analyses large and complex data sets to surface deep insights and develop customised AI workflows and tools for clients that an off-the-shelf tool cannot deliver. The team works with the full range of frontier models to select the best approach for specific legal and commercial challenges.
Developed in response to client demand, Applied Intelligence is the latest step in Linklaters’ strategy to maximise the significant opportunity AI offers for clients, enabling them to make more informed decisions, move faster and manage risk more confidently.
Paul Lewis, Managing Partner, Linklaters commented:
“Over the past year, we’ve taken bold steps to embed AI into our practice as part of our ambition to lead in legal AI. Applied Intelligence enables us to meet our clients’ needs for ever more sophisticated solutions powered by AI. It’s another example of how our AI strategy is helping us redefine premium legal advice and expand what a global elite law firm can deliver for clients in a rapidly changing world.”
Tom Quoroll, co-founder of Applied Intelligence, commented:
“AI is transforming the way complex legal services are delivered and we see it as an opportunity to supercharge what we can do for clients. Applied Intelligence brings together lawyers, data scientists and AI specialists in a tightly coordinated team, focused on solving real client problems. We’ve built the team not just for technical capability, but for the collaboration and judgement needed to turn complexity into impact for our clients.”
