Linklaters has advised the initial purchasers on the $750 million senior notes offering by Harbour Energy Finance (2) plc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Harbour Energy plc, one of the world’s largest and most geographically diverse independent oil and gas companies. The notes are unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by Harbour Energy plc.
The proceeds of the offering will be used to repay amounts outstanding under Harbour Energy’s bridge facility supporting its acquisition of LLOG Exploration Company L.L.C. and for general corporate purposes, including, at the company’s election, the repayment of existing debt.
Harbour Energy has a large-scale, diverse producing asset base concentrated across five core countries – Norway, the U.K., Argentina, Mexico and the U.S. – and also has a leading CO2 storage position across Europe, supporting the transition to a lower carbon economy.
The Linklaters U.S. Capital Markets team was led by partner Giacomo Reali and included senior associate Felipe Barros Lima and associates Kimberly Martin and Leonardo Agostini.
The team was also supported on banking aspects by partners Toby Grimstoneand Atish Shah and managing associate Danny Yin.
