Linklaters advises the banks financing the proposed merger of Lottomatica and Cirsa to create the world’s second-largest gaming and sports betting operator

A team led by Alek Naidenov and Andrew Jennens advised the banks on the financing supporting the cross-border merger of Lottomatica Group S.p.A. and Cirsa Enterprises, S.A.

The transaction combines two of Europe’s leading and publicly-listed gaming and sports betting operators to create a global gaming champion with c. €2bn of Adjusted EBITDA and number 1 positions in Italy and Spain, as well as leading positions in a range of Latin American markets.

Lottomatica will be the surviving entity of the combination and its shares will be listed on both Euronext Milan and the Spanish Stock Exchanges.
