Linklaters Advises Capex on Exchange Offer

Linklaters has advised Capex S.A. (“Capex”) in connection with an exchange offer relating to its US$238,846,000 6.875% Notes due 2024 (“Existing Notes”) for newly issued 9.250% Notes due 2028 (“New Notes”) plus cash consideration, as applicable.

An aggregate principal amount of US$197.4 million, representing 82.65% of the aggregate principal amount of Existing Notes, were tendered in the exchange offer, and an aggregate principal amount of US$188.8 million of New Notes were issued.

Capex is a leading energy company in Argentina engaged in thermal electric and renewable power generation, and in hydrocarbon exploration and production. The Linklaters team was led by partners Conrado Tenaglia and Matthew Poulter, alongside partner Gabriel Grossman (Tax), associates Monica Perez Banuet and Juan Mata, foreign attorney Santiago Errázuriz and summer associate Keisy Germosen.
