Neuberger Berman Capital Solutions (NB Capital Solutions) has announced a capital partnership with Merit Financial Advisors, HGGC, LLC, and Wealth Partners Capital Group. Merit is a hybrid, SEC-Registered Investment Adviser based in Atlanta, Georgia, that maintains 40 offices throughout the US. As of September 30, 2023, Merit managed US$8.96 billion in client assets. NB Capital Solutions participated in the capital raise to fund a series of accretive mergers and acquisitions.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented NB Capital Solutions in the transaction with a team led by partners Stelios Saffos, Peter Sluka, and Andrew Blumenthal, with associate Ian Lachow. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Pardis Zomorodi; and on financial regulatory matters by partner Laura Ferrell, with associate Daniel Filstrup.
