Wonder has announced an acquisition of Salt Hank’s, New York City’s cult‑favorite eatery known for its iconic French Dip. Through the transaction, Wonder plans to expand access to the Salt Hank’s brand across its platform while preserving the quality, craftsmanship, and customer experience that made the restaurant a local favorite. Salt Hank’s is expected to debut on Wonder’s platform beginning this fall, with Chef Daniel Rubenfeld joining Wonder and co‑founder Henry Laporte continuing to work closely with the company as the brand expands.
Latham & Watkins LLP advised Wonder in the transaction with a corporate team led by Los Angeles partner Andrew Clark, with associates Taylor Ashton and Joy Chen. Advice was also provided on intellectual property matters by San Diego partner Steve Chinowsky and counsel Robert Yeh; on tax matters by Los Angeles partner Ana O’Brien, with associate Arash Lotfi; and on executive compensation, employment, and benefits matters by Los Angeles/San Francisco partner Julie Crisp.
