Latham & Watkins LLP has advised Trench Group GmbH, a Triton portfolio company and global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of high-voltage power transmission components and systems, on the successful refinancing of its existing debt capital structure.
The refinancing includes a long-term syndicated loan (Term Loan B) with a volume of €380 million, a revolving credit line of €130 million, and a guarantee line of €75 million. The funds will be used, alongside other aspects, to refinance existing debt. Additionally, the new, still conservative financing structure will support the company’s growth trajectory, particularly through investments in production capacities as well as research and development.
The Latham team was led by Frankfurt corporate finance partner Alexandra Hagelüken and Hamburg associate Anna-Maria Kuckerz, with Munich counsel Rainer Adlhart and Frankfurt associate Verena Birke. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Munich partner Ulf Kieker.
