Latham & Watkins LLP has advised capital solutions provider Orion Infrastructure Capital (OIC) on a combined debt and equity investment of up to €65 million in CargoBeamer. CargoBeamer is a leading European logistics company and intermodal terminal operator driving the shift of freight transport from road to rail.
The investment will support the construction of two CargoBeamer terminals in Kaldenkirchen, Germany, and Domodossola, Italy.
The Latham team comprised Frankfurt finance partner Sibylle Münch and corporate partners Alexander Stefan Rieger and Otto von Gruben, Los Angeles finance partner Jeffrey Greenberg, with Frankfurt finance counsel Ralph Dräger and Hamburg corporate counsel Andreas Lönner, with Frankfurt finance associate André Traute, Munich finance associate Johanna Wörle, and Frankfurt corporate associate Joscha Müller. Advice was also provided on regulatory matters by Milan partner Cesare Milani, with Frankfurt counsel Joachim Grittmann and Milan associate Edoardo Cassinelli; and on tax matters by Hamburg partner Verena Seevers.
