Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, has announced that funds advised by Neuberger Berman have led a minority recapitalization of Health & Safety Institute (HSI). Neuberger Berman joins existing investor Waud Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm based in Chicago, which will retain a majority stake in HSI.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Neuberger Berman in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partners Stelios Saffos, Peter Sluka, and Andrew Blumenthal, with associates Naomi Smith, Paul Lau, and James Sullivan.
