Latham & Watkins LLP has advised More than Meals, a portfolio company of DBAG Fund VII, that is managed by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, on the sale of Abbelen to the Dutch Group of Butchers (GoB). Abbelen is the largest producer of chilled meatballs and ready-made hamburgers in Germany; the products are predominantly offered under the private labels of food chains.
Latham advised DBAG with a team led by Düsseldorf corporate partner Ingo Strauss with associates Katharina Intfeld, Sönke Bock, and Jan Gocha; advice was also provided on tax matters by Munich partner Ulf Kieker with associate Manuela Minsel.
