Black Mountain Oil and Gas (Black Mountain) has announced that it has acquired the Eagle Ford Catarina Ranch assets of Mesquite Energy.
Latham & Watkins LLP advised Black Mountain in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Houston partners Stephen Szalkowski and James Garrett, with associates Shawn Beloin, Anji Yuan, and Carlyle Reid. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partners Jim Cole and Tim Fenn; on finance matters by Houston partner Matt Jones, with associate Max Fin; on hedging related matters by New York partner Yvette Valdez, with associate Ashley Weeks; and on employment and compensation matters by Washington, D.C. partner Adam Kestenbaum.
