Latham Advises Vitol Inc. on Sale of VGMobility

Vitol has announced the divestment of one of its emobility companies, VGMobility. Created by Vitol in 2020 with a mission to deliver green mobility solutions across the Americas, today, VGMobility is the largest platform of sustainable transportation assets in Latin America. Across five key projects in Colombia and Chile, VGMobility has over 2,600 electric buses under contract, transports over 250 million passengers a year and offers municipalities the opportunity of reducing air pollution and upgrading local transport through an efficient turnkey solution.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Vitol on the transaction with a corporate deal team led by partners Carlos Ardila and James Garrett, with associates Francisco Lanusse, Catalina Ucros, and Mapi Villanueva. Advice was also provided on finance matters by partner Guido Liniado; on tax matters by partners Eric Kamerman and Alan Kimball; on compliance matters by counsel Katherine Sawyer and partner Andrew Galdes; on insurance matters by partner Harrison White, with associate Enrique Covarrubias; on intellectual property matters by partner Jeffrey Tochner; and on employment matters by counsel Daniel Bop and partner Max Raskin.
