Latham Advises on Viking Therapeutics’ Upsized US$500 Million Offering of Common Stock and Convertible Senior Notes

Viking Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: VKTX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel therapies for metabolic and endocrine disorders, has announced the pricing of its concurrent public offerings of 7,857,143 shares of common stock, at a public offering price of US$35 per share, and US$225 million aggregate principal amount of 2.00% convertible senior notes due 2032. The issuance and sale of the common stock and the notes are scheduled to settle on September 25, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Viking also granted the underwriters of the common stock offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,178,571 shares of common stock and granted the underwriters of the notes offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional US$33.75 million aggregate principal amount of notes.
