
London team represents the direct lenders in landmark private credit deal.
Latham & Watkins has advised the lenders on the €1.5 billion financing of SumUp, a global financial technology business. The financing was raised by a club of 14 private credit lenders, led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and included Apollo, BlackRock, and Temasek. The transaction represents one of the largest European private credit deals of its kind in recent years.
The Latham team was led by London partners Jennifer Engelhardt, Fergus Wheeler, and Paul Yin, with associates Medha Vikram, Felix Buddee, and Ajay Agarwal.
