Corxel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Corxel US), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative oral therapies for obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions, and Amanat Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: AMAN), a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), have announced they have entered into a definitive business combination agreement. Upon completion of the proposed transaction, Corxel US will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the combined public company.
Latham & Watkins LLP is advising the placement agents in the transaction with a corporate team led by New York partners Nathan Ajiashvili, Alison Haggerty, and Sandy Kugbei, with associates Adam Weber, Don Izekor, and Sam Berry.
