Latham & Watkins has advised LGP on its investment in IRIS, a leading global provider of mission-critical software and services in accountancy, payroll, HR, and education. The transaction represents one of Europe’s largest software buyouts in 2023.
LGP will take a co-controlling stake in the business alongside Hg, supporting IRIS’s US expansion ambitions with its local presence and network. As part of the transaction, ICG will remain as a minority investor in the business.
The Latham team was led by Los Angeles corporate partner Jason Silvera and London corporate partners David Walker and Maarten Overmars, with associates James Richards and Edward Coates.
