Latham Advises La Casa de las Carcasas on Partial Acquisition of Claire’s Operations in France

Latham & Watkins Paris has advised La Casa de las Carcasas, a leading global provider of cases and accessories for cell phones, in the partial acquisition of Claire’s operations in France. Claire’s, an American retail chain known for its fashion accessories and costume jewelry, entered receivership at the end of July 2025.

Approved by the Paris Commercial Court in a ruling dated November 14, 2025, the joint offer submitted by Carcafrancia, the French subsidiary of La Casa de las Carcasas, alongside June, which on its side will continue operating the brand in France, results in the acquisition of a total of 146 stores and secures the transfer of 459 employees.

The Latham team was led from Paris by restructuring partner Thomas Doyen, with restructuring associate Raphaëlle Lauro.

La Casa de las Carcasas was also advised by Eight Advisory.
