
Latham & Watkins has advised General Catalyst and a16z on the €3 billion Series D funding round of Mistral AI, a French startup specializing in generative artificial intelligence. The fundraising values Mistral AI at €21 billion post-money.
Samsung Electronics led the round, joined by co-leads Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, and existing investor PSG Equity.
The Latham team advising General Catalyst was led by Paris corporate partner Simon Lange, together with Boston partner Stephen Ranere; and the team advising a16z was led by Paris corporate partner Pierre-Louis Cléro, together with Bay Area partner Benjamin Potter, with Paris counsel Xavier Nassoy.
