Latham Advises Evolution Data Centres on Joint Venture With Central Pattana PCL

Latham & Watkins has advised Evolution Data Centres (EDC) on its joint venture agreement with Central Pattana PCL, one of the largest property developers in Thailand, to design, build and operate a state-of-the-art carrier-neutral data centre in central Bangkok. The 34MW sustainably focused data centre will provide world-class infrastructure to support the digital economy, meeting the country’s growing demand for cloud and data centre services.

Headquartered in Singapore, EDC was founded in 2021 with the strategic vision to become the next-generation, leading pan-Asian data centre platform, delivering digital infrastructure reliably and sustainably into high growth markets. Latham previously advised EDC on its programmatic joint venture with Warburg Pincus for the development of sustainable hyper-scale data centres in the fast-growing cloud markets within Southeast Asia.

The Latham team was led by Hong Kong partner Richard Watkins, with Singapore partner James Clayton-Payne and Hong Kong associate Joanne Lao.
