Latham & Watkins has advised European private equity firm EMZ Partners (EMZ) and further shareholders on the sale of their shareholding in insurance broker ASSEPRO to London-based The Ardonagh Group (Ardonagh). The parties agreed not to disclose terms.
Latham & Watkins regularly advises EMZ and its portfolio companies on transactions, most recently on the acquisition of five WEKA Group companies in Switzerland and Germany by Aspire Education.
The Latham team was led by Munich partners Burc Hesse and Stephan Hufnagel with associates Corinna Freudenmacher, Philipp Gärtner, and Maximilian Kuchernig. Advise was also provided on tax matters by Hamburg partner Verena Seevers and on antitrust matters by Frankfurt associate Judith Jacop, with further support from the Latham & Watkins office in London.
