Energy Capital Partners (ECP) has announced the completion of its acquisition of an 892-megawatt (MW) portfolio of natural gas-fired cogeneration assets located in Texas and Illinois from Fengate Asset Management. The three cogeneration facilities comprising the portfolio provide critical infrastructure, serving as primary sources of process steam and electricity for two critical integrated petrochemical complexes in the United States.
Latham & Watkins LLP represents ECP in the acquisition with an M&A deal team led by New York partners David Kurzweil and Edmond Parhami, with associate Saïd Bakir; and on project finance matters by Los Angeles partner Jeff Greenberg, with associate Cáit O’Neill.
