Latham Advises 1001 AI on US$30 Million Series A

Latham & Watkins has advised 1001 AI, the sovereign artificial intelligence platform, on its US$30 million series A. This financing will allow 1001 AI to grow its engineering, operations, and deployment teams, deepen its work in mission-critical environments, and continue proving that frontier AI capability can be built, deployed, and governed locally, not just purchased from abroad.

The round was led by Lux Capital, with participation from existing investors General Catalyst, CIV, and Chris Re.

The Latham team was led by Dubai partners Omar Maayeh and Eyad Latif, with associates Rehab Ahmed Abdelwahab and Shiva Dakhili.
