Kirkland & Ellis advised Alpine Investors on the launch of Cobalt Service Partners, a newly formed platform focused on buying and building exceptional access solutions businesses. In connection with the launch, Kirkland also advised Alpine and Cobalt on their acquisition of Piedmont Door Solutions, a premier provider of commercial doors and entrance solutions with locations across the Southeast, Southwest, and Mid-Atlantic. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
The combined Kirkland team was led by corporate partner Brice Lipman, with support from tax partner Devin Heckman; executive compensation partner Rohit Nafday; and corporate partner Sean Kramer. Corporate associate Michael Fiedorowicz assisted on the formation of the Cobalt Service Partners platform and associate Kelsey Chetosky assisted on the acquisition of Piedmont Door Solutions.
