Kirkland Advises Wilshire on Acquisition of Lyxor Asset Management

Kirkland & Ellis is advising financial services firm Wilshire on the proposed acquisition of U.S.-based investment advisor Lyxor Asset Management Inc. from European asset manager Amundi. The acquisition will allow Wilshire to become a leading provider of hedge fund managed accounts and enhance its alternative investment offering. Wilshire advises on more than $1.3 trillion in assets and manages $88 billion in assets. Lyxor has $20.8 billion in assets under management. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
