Kirkland & Ellis advised private equity firm Vestar Capital Partners and portfolio company Edward Don & Company (DON) on the sale of the foodservice equipment and supplies distributor to Sysco Corporation (NYSE:SYY). DON will operate as a standalone specialty division within Sysco upon completion of the transaction. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
