Kirkland & Ellis advised private equity firm Gemspring Capital Management on its acquisition of Midland Industries, which manufactures and distributes pipe, valve and fitting products. Existing investor Wynnchurch Capital will retain a minority stake in the company. Midland has more than 250 employees and operates 11 facilities in North America.
