Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advises Basic-Fit on the acquisition of wellyou

Global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader has advised the Dutch fitness company Basic-Fit on its acquisition of health club chain wellyou for a purchase price of €52 million.

wellyou is the market leader in northern Germany, with around 110,000 members and 41 locations. The acquisition strengthens Basic-Fit’s presence in this region and marks a further step in the company’s strategic growth plan.

With more than 2,150 gyms and over six million members, Basic-Fit is Europe’s largest fitness operator and franchisor. The company operates in twelve countries and employs more than 9,000 staff.

The Hogan Lovells Cadwalader team supported Basic-Fit throughout the entire transaction process and advised on all legal aspects of the acquisition.
