Dubai, 6 October 2026 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader has advised a group of international lenders on a US$700m facility to JSC Almalyk MMC.
The financing was arranged by the group of international and regional lenders, including Societe Generale, Natixis, CITIBANK, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC, J.P. Morgan, MUFG Bank and JSC Halyk Bank.
JSC Almalyk MMC (Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex) is a major state-owned industrial enterprise in Uzbekistan that extracts and processes copper, precious metals, and other non-ferrous raw materials.
The Hogan Lovells Cadwalader team was led by Dubai Banking and Loan Finance counsel Alexander Gasparyan supported by associate Anton Sokolov.
This significant transaction reflects the growing appetite of international lenders for Central Asian credits and the increasing sophistication of borrowers in the region.
