Hogan Lovells advises banks on the financing for NORDWEST Handel AG

Led by Frankfurt Partner Bianca Engelmann, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised a banking consortium led by Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft and DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, Frankfurt am Main on the legal implementation of the financing for NORDWEST Handel AG.

NORDWEST Handel AG acts as a link between industry and wholesale in the steel, construction, trade, industry and building services sectors. With around 460 employees at its headquarters in Dortmund, the company stands for highly efficient processes, maximum customer benefit, low costs, sustainable increase in company value, and future security for its trading partners.

The syndicated credit agreement includes, among other things, two tranches for financing investments in the development of climate-friendly and energy-efficient sites and process technology, which are refinanced by KfW.

In addition to Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft and DZ Bank AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, Frankfurt am Main, the bank consortium comprises Sparkasse an Volme and Ruhr, Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft, Dortmunder Volksbank eG and Sparkasse Dortmund.
