Herbert Smith Freehills has acted for BNP Paribas, as Global Coordinator, and an international group of banks of the EUR 600 million term and revolving facilities to support the acquisition by Perfetti Van Melle of the developed markets gum business of Mondelez.
This is one of the largest syndicated deals in the acquisition finance market so far this year and was led by finance partner Will Nevin and senior associate Pritika Advani in the London office and supported by partner Simone Egidi (Milan), partner Gabrielle Wong (London) on US aspects, partner Alex Aitken (Hong Kong) and partner Armando García-Mendoza (Madrid).
