Herbert Smith Freehills advises Allegro on its acquisition of Scyne Advisory from PwC

Herbert Smith Freehills is pleased to have advised Allegro on the successful acquisition of Scyne Advisory from PwC Australia.

Scyne Advisory is an independent public sector-specialist with the national scale and expertise of a “Big Four” adviser, without any conflicts from the private sector.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by partner Andrew Rich and senior associate Li-Lian Yeo, and included a core team of partners Natalie Bryce, Damien Hazard, Drew Pearson and Kwok Tang, as well as special counsel Daniel Johnson, senior associates Kimberley Lean and George Psaltis, and solicitors Ting Fan, Hamish Cullity, Brae Aslanidis and Alfie Bright.

The cross-practice team at Herbert Smith Freehills supported the Allegro and Scyne teams with all aspects of the transaction, including negotiations with various Australian State and Federal Governments, as well as the complex separation of the business from PwC Australia.

Andrew Rich said, “We are incredibly proud to have worked with Allegro on another milestone transaction. The acquisition of Scyne Advisory was a complex transaction and it has been a pleasure to work with the very talented team at Allegro to complete this deal”.
