
Global law firm DLA Piper has advised the Milan branch of Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, on a EUR280 million green financing granted to DeA Capital Real Estate SGR S.p.A., acting as manager of the Millennium Luxury fund, in connection with the sustainable redevelopment of Palazzo Marini, a landmark property located in Piazza San Silvestro in the heart of Rome.
The financing supports one of the most significant real estate transactions in Italy in 2026 and will contribute to the urban regeneration and sustainable redevelopment of the historic asset in line with environmental principles. The project includes the conversion of Palazzo Marini into a luxury five-star hotel with approximately 127 rooms operating under the Four Seasons brand.
The green loan was provided by the Milan Branch of Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, acting as original lender, green coordinator, mandated lead arranger, sole bookrunner, sole underwriter and agent.
A cross-practice and multijurisdictional DLA Piper team spanning Italy and Luxembourg, led by Finance partner Giampiero Priori, advised on all stages of the transaction, including the structuring, negotiation and documentation of the financing. - A banking syndicate on the EUR800 million financing granted to Meliá Hotels International S.A.
- Aareal Bank on financing acquisition of a 44,000 sq. meter shopping centre in northern Poland
- Generali Real Estate on the EUR330 million refinancing of the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid at Centro Canalejas
