DLA Piper has added high-stakes litigator Israel Dahan as a partner in its Business and Commercial Litigation practice. Based in New York, he joins the firm’s market-leading litigation team, where he will focus on corporate and securities litigation, bankruptcy-related disputes, real estate litigation, and other complex commercial matters.
Dahan brings almost 30 years of experience representing public companies and senior executives, major financial institutions, private investment firms, hedge funds, asset managers, secured lenders, creditors and other clients in high-profile business and commercial disputes. His practice spans securities class actions, shareholder derivative and corporate governance suits, M&A and post-closing disputes, bankruptcy-related litigation, lender liability and real estate litigation, and other complex commercial matters involving securities laws, fiduciary duties, fraud, RICO, breach of contract, veil piercing and fraudulent transfer claims.
He also has extensive first-chair trial experience, representing clients in state and federal courts across the country as well as before domestic arbitral tribunals. In addition, Dahan advises financial services companies and institutions in regulatory investigations and proceedings brought by US federal and state regulators, particularly matters involving trading activities.
