DLA Piper Canada welcomes associate Nonye Ngwaba

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Nonye Ngwaba to the firm’s Vancouver office in the Restructuring group.

Nonye has a restructuring and insolvency law practice and has advised debtors, lenders and court appointed officers on matters under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act. Her practice includes guiding clients through distressed business restructurings, receiverships and asset realization. Nonye regularly appears at the Supreme Court of British Columbia and has appeared at the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

Before joining the firm, Nonye trained at a boutique law firm specializing in litigation, insolvency and restructuring. Clients additionally benefit from her previous background in financial analysis, strengthening her ability to comprehensively assess and assist distressed businesses.

Nonye received her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.
