DLA Piper advised national real estate franchise NextHome on its acquisition by eXp World Holdings, Inc., creating a multi-model global real estate platform.
The deal combines NextHome’s franchise model with eXp World Holdings’ cloud-based and agent-centric brokerage to support multiple business models for real estate professionals under one global umbrella. NextHome brings a sizable franchise model into the eXp ecosystem with more than 500 franchisees across the US.
The DLA Piper deal team was co-led by Partners Matthew Gruenberg and Steve Reil (both Los Angeles) and included Partners Brian Hamano (Los Angeles/Palo Alto), Keith Ranta (Washington, DC/Boston), Tzung-bor (Chung) Wei, Joshua Elefant (both San Francisco), Jennifer Kashatus (Washington, DC), and Associate Kenneth Rowles (San Diego).
