DLA Piper has advised US-headquartered insightsoftware, a comprehensive provider of solutions for the Office of the CFO, on the acquisition of the Fiplana business, a Qlik financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software solution that facilitates direct data editing, process planning, and cost management, from INFORM group. With the acquisition, insightsoftware deepens its operational planning, reporting, and analytics capabilities within the Qlik ecosystem.
Fiplana helps organizations using Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud make better financial decisions and optimize business performance. The seller, INFORM group is headquartered in Aachen, Germany.
insightsoftware is a portfolio company of TA Associates, Hg Capital, and Genstar Capital. With solutions across financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, and operations, insightsoftware supports business teams and decision makers in their operations.
The DLA Piper team was led by partner Dr Philipp Clemens and Senior Associate Dr Marcel Schmidt (both Corporate, Hamburg), with further support from various specialists, including the IP team around partner Dr Nico Brunotte (IPT, Hamburg). insightsoftware’s internal legal team for the acquisition was led by M&A corporate counsel Chris Evans.
