DLA Piper advises EQT Ventures on investment in ecoplanet

DLA Piper has advised EQT Ventures on a EUR16 million Series A financing round for ecoplanet, a provider of market-leading solutions in the energy market. The financing round was led by EQT Ventures with support from HV Capital. The investment will accelerate go-to-market and further build out software capabilities, focusing on leveraging state-of-the-art AI across the entire value chain, from individual machine-level to the energy market.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Munich, ecoplanet has quickly emerged as the pioneer in energy management software. ecoplanet’s AI-powered software helps businesses reduce energy costs, automate processes, and ensure regulatory compliance with actionable insights.

EQT Ventures is the venture capital fund of EQT, a purpose-driven global investment organization. The fund invests globally in fast-growing, innovative and technology-driven companies across all sectors, with a focus on Europe and the US.

The DLA Piper team was led by Frankfurt-based partner Andreas Füchsel and senior associate Philipp Meyer Reichen, together with Stockholm-based partner Mikael Moreira, senior associate Samira Bandick (all Private Equity/M&A).
