DLA Piper advises CPE on acquisition of Mammut

DLA Piper has advised CPE, a leading Asia-based alternative asset manager, on its acquisition of Mammut Sports Group, a leading premium outdoor brand, from Jacobs Capital.

Founded in Switzerland in 1862, Mammut is one of the world’s leading outdoor brands, offering technical apparel, footwear, climbing equipment and avalanche safety products. The company serves customers in approximately 55 countries through its retail stores, digital platforms and extensive distribution network.

CPE manages approximately USD22 billion of assets, and takes a long-term, value-oriented approach to investing in leading companies across a diverse range of themes and sectors, including the full AI value chain, advanced manufacturing, consumer, healthcare and infrastructure. Supported by more than 200 institutional investors globally, its investment team has completed over 300 investments worldwide.

The DLA Piper team was led by James Chang, Corporate partner in Beijing, supported by of counsel Shuting Lu and consultants Hao Guo and Yue Wang. Corporate partner Yang Ge managed the relationship with CPE.
